Riding Lessons

For ages 5 through adults.

At Muddy Creek Meadows our focus is pleasure riding.  Our main goal is to learn while having fun.  We also believe that there is more to riding then just the riding portion.  Therefore, we teach students to groom, saddle and care for the horses, as well as, teaching them to ride.  Students will work mainly in the riding ring.  Activities will include general riding as well as games and exercises to help enhance the rider's skills.  Trail rides will also be taken to add to the experience.

It is recommended that students attend lessons once a week.  We have found that riding at least once a week is best to keep skills fresh in mind.

Students are required to wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet and a boot with a half inch to an inch heal.  Long pants are required as well.

Group Lessons- $25 per person, per hour Private Lessons- $40 per person, per hour Semi-Private- $35 per person, per hour Group classes are divided into two groups. Beginner classes and Intermediate/Advanced Classes. Beginner  Classes- are one hour and consist of four students per group.  A one-to-two ratio is kept for all beginner classes, in which if there are more than two students, an assistant (advanced rider) or another instructor will also be working with the class. Intermediate/Advanced classes- are an hour and fifteen minutes long.  The class consists of one instructor per five or six students. Private Classes are conducted with a one on one basis.   Semi- Private classes consist of 2-3 of your family and or friends.   Here you will gain the most from experienced instructors who know the techniques and the skills needed to ride, but also know that while riding everyone should be having fun!
